My Story

Hi, I’m Wessel Rietveld, and football has been a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. I had the privilege of playing at a high level, spending my youth years developing my skills at FC Utrecht until I turned 17. Like many players, I was always searching for the gear that could help me perform at my best.

Over the years, I built up a collection of boots with metal studs—high-quality and designed for soft ground and wet pitches. However, in most European countries, artificial turf has become the standard, making these boots rarely usable. Many of them were left in the back of my closet after just one or two matches.

This wasn’t just my problem. Through my work with Dutch Boot Collector, I realized that many players faced the same issue. They invested in premium boots that couldn’t be used to their full potential. This inefficiency and waste sparked the idea for a solution.
